It's tough being a Fairy Princess in the Pilbara
H3CK it's tough being a Princess fullstop!
this post explains some of the reasons why it's a little tougher in the Pilbara.
The Pilbara can be a mean and unforgiving place.
However, there are somethings that make it a little easier on a young Pilbara Fairy Princess when she sets out to explore the big wide world outside of her front yard
......and somethings that I am a little jealous of.

She has big sisters and brothers!
Who will let her go off to explore
They are always close by
to take her hand and to walk beside her to assure her that she is safe.....

......and that she is L♡VED unconditionally.

I do have a younger brother but we are not close.
...that however, is a story for a whole other time.

More than anything
I wish I had a big Sissy
just like this one

Because it IS a big wide world
and when it becomes a little tough,
it would be nice to flop into the arms of someone
who L♡VES you

There are many talented people that participate in Melody's SOOC weekend.
Click on their links, check out their SOOC shots, and maybe even leave them a comment or even a little Bloggy L♡VE....
sometimes clicking on that little heart in the 'reaction' click a box section, like I have under my comment link, is all that is needed to let someone know you made the effort to drop by and you enjoyed what you saw at their place!

Thanks for dropping by.
I appreciate it.

  1. Oh my- for some reasons these pictures - your beautiful children and their love moved me to tears
    I miss my big sister

  2. Jewelz,

Oh how I love the second and third shot♥♥♥
Your family is beautiful and so are you!
I love you unconditionally, miles away, through good and bad, my hugs are readily available, my coffee will always be hot, and my ears will always listen.

All the love in the universe from me to you,

  3. Hey Jewelz! You're an Aussie too! I don't know why I didn't twig before!! My dad spent a lot of time in the Pilbara in the 60s and 70s doing geological mapping. Wild!
This is such a lovely post. The contrast of the fairy dress against the red dirt...well it is just...just... Australian!

  4. wow....i have 2 older sisters and they were never this nice to me....hahahaha.......but, as we grew older...our relationships got so much better...

love these pictures....your girls are beautiful :)

  5. Hi Jewelz, wonderful series. Funny I don't remember your site looking like this. Did you change it again? Or am I losing my mind?

  6. Awwww, these precious images [and your thoughts] make my heart smile. I get it cuz I'm the big sister. And I want a princess dress just like that!

P.S. Thank you for your encouraging comment love. Well said.

  7. loved the shots and the story...

even if I have no idea what or where a Pilbara be.

  8. Absolutely beautiful, true, unedited princess story! I'm thinking you need to do a photo book so the princess can read it! That's wonderful!

  9. may be just a tad I haven't changed anything on my blog. The only thing that changes are the shots of Gastav Klimt Art...oh how I love his work.

  10. Love the heart in the dirt-- and all your beautiful SOOC shots!

  11. Beautiful photos, just loved them! I too am always amazed at the bond between my two girls and so wish I had a sister.

  12. Beautiful! I agree with Pam D - a photo book is definitely in order with those shots!

Love the genuine affection and sweet childhood captures. What a treasure!

  13. Jewelz,

    How are you?
I have thought about you and I am hoping everything is right in your world.
    I miss you,
and I noticed the other day the second coffee cup at my dining room table sat empty.
I also noticed the sugary dessert that I had made for us didn't taste as good as I thought it would. I think it's perhaps because I have been missing my most perfect coffee/dessert companion in the whole wide world.....and if you have forgotten whom I mean.
    That would be you!

All the love in the universe from me to you.

  14. What a great dress! I love the bright colors and the wispiness of it all! If only it was okay for grown-ups to get away with wearing dresses like this. It's moments like this that I love having girls! Beautiful!
